The Monash University policy on full time study for international students with a student visa requires the enrolment of units with the value of 24 credit points per semester or 48 credit points over the full academic year. Exceptions to this policy are:

• If unit availability or course progression rules do not permit an enrolment in 24 credit points.
• Due to course structure or progression rules or unit availability where enrolment in units with a value of 24 credit points is not possible.
• Students facing illness or exceptional personal circumstances.
• Final semester/year students who require less than 48 credit points to complete their course.

If the above reason is not applicable, you must contact ISP to discuss the impact of underloading on your Student Pass conditions with the International Student Pass Office at mum.student.visa@monash.edu before submitting the underloading application.

No. To progress to the Bachelor’s Degree, you are required to fill in the internal course transfer form and submit the application before the deadline.
